      Description: The Veterinary Sciences (VS) department is seeking a highly motivated student for participation in our 3-12 week internship program. The candidate will be responsible for completing all the recommended coursework from their university’s program, actively participate in all areas of VS and interact with departments supported by VS. The successful candidate is expected to be enrolled in either an animal sciences undergraduate program or a Master’s of Laboratory Animal Science (MLAS) degree program with a strong interest in laboratory animal care, facility management, veterinary care and in vivo research.  The candidate will be expected to contribute to a project that will be published or presented internally and/or at a local or national meeting. 
       
      Bristol-Myers Squibb is the industry leader in immuno-oncology with life-saving medicines and a rich clinical portfolio of diverse modalities including monoclonal antibody, antibody drug conjugate, fusion protein, and combination regimes. The candidate will have the opportunity to interact with VS across sites in New Jersey and Redwood City, CA.
       
      Key Responsibilities:
       
      • Complete all course work requirements from their university’s internship program
      • Complete a research project that impacts Laboratory Animal Science
      • Present research project findings to the VS department
         
      Key Requirements:
       
      • Current enrollment in an animal sciences undergraduate program or a Master’s of Laboratory Animal Science (MLAS) program
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required
      • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
      • Adaptability/flexibility to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment
      • Highly self-motivated, driven to excel, ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities and projects
