      Description: We are seeking a highly motivated student to be part of the process engineering team. The successful candidate will develop process flow diagram for use in technical transfers. Understanding of process equipment robustness; the impact of natural wear and tear of process equipment on control of process parameters. Data collection from distributed control system for determination of equipment capability by statistical analysis.  The co-op will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting results with scientific advice and collaboration from a larger team.

      Required skills: 
      • Must be enrolled in school the semester of and/or during the assignment, as well as the semester following the assignment, with a 3.0+ GPA
      • Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) from January to July 2020.
      • Demonstrated problem solving ability, interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills.
      • Previous work experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or a related industry preferred.
      • Qualified candidates will have completed sophomore, junior, senior, Masters, or PhD level coursework towards a degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Related Disciplines
      • Excellent communication, technical writing, collaboration, and data management skills are required.
      • The demonstrated flexibility to work in a dynamic, project-based environment is essential.
      • Demonstrated application of formal project management, experimental design, statistical analysis, system qualification, equipment maintenance, and problem solving methodologies are helpful.
      • Technical writing ability required, as well as expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to perform statistical data analysis.MS Visio experience preferred.
