Business Insights & Analytics RDP Internship Development Program

The Business Insights & Analytics (BIA) Internship Program is seeking future business leaders who are looking to make an impact on patient’s lives. BIA Interns will be challenged with leveraging data and analytics tools to generate business insights for our Commercial, Research & Development, Global Product Supply, Corporate and Worldwide stakeholders to improve our speed to patients and to help our patients prevail over serious diseases.


      The BIA Rotational Development Internship Program is a 10-week summer placement as a key contributing member within the Business Insights & Analytics organization, providing exposure to functions across BIA. The program ensures interns gain valuable industry and functional experience and contribute meaningfully to teams through a challenging assignment that allows them to learn about new areas and earn new skills while networking with senior executives and other employees across the company. Associates gain experience in the development of business insights & analytics strategies, which they will use to make recommendations with real business impact. Assignments may include data visualization, market research, data mining, developing data modeling and simulations.


      Upon successful completion of the internship program, qualified candidates will receive an offer to join our full-time Business Insights & Analytics Rotational Development Program (BIA RDP). The BIA RDP spans two years and will include three nine-month assignments across BIA. In this program, associates will have the ability to work directly with functional leaders on key high priority projects to help inform enterprise strategy and develop leadership capabilities to eventually contribute to the enterprise as a senior leader.



      The Internship will feature:


      • Executive Lunch & Learns: Weekly Lunch and Learns on key biopharma business topics including senior level speaker series/panels on different topics spanning from career development to navigating the enterprise.

      • Introduction to the Drug Development and Commercialization Continuum: Courses in the drug development and commercialization process, including the different functional areas that contribute to enterprise success.

      • Executive and Peer Mentorship: Formal mentorship with BIA leaders and recent MBA/MS graduates within Business Insights & Analytics.

      • Networking and Teambuilding: Participate in networking events to meet colleagues across BIA, and BMS as well as other interns during the summer.

      • Final Presentation: Present key findings to senior leaders & team members on summer project’s


      Key Requirements:

      • Enrolled in a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program during the current school year (graduating class of 2021)

      • A minimum of two-three years of relevant business analytics experience preferred.

      • An understanding of how to analyze, assess, and provide innovative solutions to broad, complex business issues.

      • The ability to draw conclusions from complex situations, then recommend and execute a course of action in both a timely and decisive manner.

      • Demonstrated leadership experience either through professional work or in a student, community, or professional organization.

      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize and present ideas in a convincing and compelling manner to a small or large audience in multiple levels within the organization.

      • Diverse thinking with innovative ideas and new approaches to maximize opportunities

      • The ability to work autonomously in small or large teams
