Credit, Collections & Reporting Analyst Intern

      This internship position will provide support to the Credit and Collections team as well as the Analytics and Reporting group within Order to Cash, Global Business Operations.  Interns will gain experience in finance, operations, controls, systems and analytics by contributing to a cross-functional team that supports US and Canadian Business Operations. Applicants to this position should demonstrate experience with or a willingness to learn business analysis, systems, financial analysis, SOX controls, and financial processes.

      This position will provide to the intern:
      • Understanding of Order-to-Cash business processes in the pharmaceutical setting
      • Experience dealing directly with variety of customers and enhance ability to deliver customer focused service within the organization
      • Interface with many functional areas in Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Trade Sales, Internal Controls, Logistics, Supply Chain, Government Pricing, etc.
      • Enhance skills in time management, situational leadership and influence management.
      • Systems and controls experience in a highly regulated industry
      Enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s or MBA degree program with minimum GPA 3.0 desired.
      Must be enrolled in school the semester of and/or during the assignment, possess a 3.0+ GPA and be eligible to work 20 hours per week during the Fall semester.
      Position Responsibilities: 
      • Support order monitoring by running weekly inventory reconciliation and prelim reports for major wholesalers
      • On ad hoc basis, run inventory management data from 3rd party partner, ValueCentric
      • Complete monthly PharMace Experience
      • Assist with customer return process by pulling credit memo reports as needed
      • Support Credit and Collections team to facilitate timely credit reviews, collections, and reconciliations
      • Assist cash application and run reports where necessary
      • Develop routine and ad-hoc reports, analysis and metrics within required timeframes; analyzes and validates data to provide assurance of accuracy and validity of critical business information.
      • Analyze and report sales and distribution data across multiple systems for pricing and legal support.
      • Support and add value to special projects including product launches, system enhancements, and other beneficial process improvements
      • Forecast cash receipts and prepare budget for OTC balance sheet, trade receipts, and working capital
      • Support the monthly and quarterly financial close processes within required timeframes.
      • Calculate and administer contractual fees to customers
      • Reconcile data between Bristol-Myers Squibb and various external partners
      • Perform control activities and maintain supporting documentation to ensure compliance with Internal control Standards.
      • Assist with activity for internal and external audits and SOX control testing
      • Participate in multi-functional projects, demonstrate business acumen and take initiative to drive performance.
      • Ability to work to strict deadlines and manage workload accordingly through task prioritization
      • Possess a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
      • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system is preferred
      • Experience with analytical techniques determining reasonableness of data, trends and root causes of issues.
