    •  Overview:
      Finance Reporting Center of Excellence (COE) - provides financial expertise to assist the commercial and corporate teams in making strategic decisions that drive the business.  Activities include but are not limited to the following.
      • Financial stewardship by ensuring financial policies and procedures are known and adhered to by our business partners & customers.
      • Accurate and timely recording of financial data in multiple financial systems with interdependencies to both commercial and noncommercial organizations including IT, R&D, BI&A and external strategic partners.
      • Formally establish operational expense priorities and goals through annual budgets and bi-annual projections.
      • Analyze financial results to determine performance to benchmarks and call out potential risks and opportunities which could affect business decisions.
         
      Role Description:
      The Intern will assist the IT & Commercial teams in the preparation of the 2018 April & September Projections and 2019 Budget.  Primary to the role will be the collection, reconciliation and reporting of financial schedules received from the IT and Commercial brand teams.  Furthermore, this role will assist in the creation of financial bridge schedules and presentations to effectively explain the outcome and impact.
      The intern will also provide support for special IT transformation projects mainly related to Capitalization and Disposal of Capital Software Assets, contractor analysis, development of ad-hoc reports, SOX testing, among others.

      Requirements/Education:
      Enrolled in Master’s or MBA degree program with minimum GPA 3.0 desired.
      Backgrounds/degrees include:
      • Accounting
      • Finance
      • General Business
       
      Assignment 1 (Spring): Must be enrolled in school the semester of and/or during the assignment, possess a 3.0+ GPA and be eligible to work part time, 20 hours, from January 16th – May 5th/August 10th.
      Assignment 2 (Summer): Must be enrolled in school the semester of and/or during the assignment, possess a 3.0+ GPA and be eligible to work full-time, 20 hours, from May 14th – August 10th.
      Assignment 3 (Fall): Must be enrolled in school the semester of and/or during the assignment, possess a 3.0+ GPA and be eligible to work part time, 20 hours, from August 27th – December 21st.
      Must have strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, organization, and project management skills.  Must demonstrate the ability to present ideas, issues, and observations into a clear and useful format, and balance several projects in a fast-paced team environment and work independently.  Must have the ability to collect, analyze, and integrate information by leveraging appropriate PC/systems technology including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
