      Division: Biologics Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) - Syracuse, New York
      Capital Site Engineering Group
       
      Requirements:
      • Must be enrolled in school the semester of and/or during the assignment, as well as the semester following the assignment, with a 3.0+ GPA
      • Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) from June 1, 2020 - mid August 2019
      • Qualified candidates will have completed sophomore, junior, senior or PhD level coursework towards a BS in an Architectural, Engineering or Project Management Discipline
      • Demonstrated problem solving ability, interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills.
      • Technical writing ability required, as well as expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to perform statistical data analysis.MS Visio experience preferred.
      • Previous work experience in architectural, engineering or construction related industries preferred.
       
      Required Skills:
      • Ability to present project proposals and updates to audiences including site management
      • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
      • Ability to quickly learn BMS procedures and business systems
      • Interest in performing engineering work in a pharmaceutical (GMP) environment
      • Ability to understand and create technical documentation
      • Ability to effectively interface with internal and external partners and stakeholders
      • Ability to self-direct and move projects forward with minimal guidance
      • Ability to use AutoCAD or BIM is preferred.
       
      Project Description: Please provide a comprehensive description of the assignment(s).
      • Work alongside BMS project managers and engineers to plan and execute engineering projects
      • Learn basic procurement tools
      • Understand unique requirements for executing projects in a GMP environment (training, change control, execution planning, validation, etc.)
      • Work with other stakeholder departments to understand financial, quality, and safety requirements
      • Work with client departments to refine project scope and determine project budgets
      • Obtain approval for proposed projects and provide updates to management
         
      Key Deliverables at Project Completion:
      Interns are expected to present the results from their specific assignments at the conclusion of the internship.
